23.  The Story Of Christmas (With The Roger Wagner Chorale and Orchestra)

Capitol # 1964 // Released September 30, 1963 // Note:  Ernie's second Christmas album, this classic was originally conceived as part of a larger project; one Ernie regarded as the pinnacle of his career; his 1963 NBC Special, "The Story of Christmas". However, it was late summer  of 1963 before a sponsor was finally found for the undertaking. As a result, Ernie and Capitol made the decision to record the LP independently of the TV special, and release it whether or not the special was ever produced.
